The French Boys.
Jean Alesi and Olivier Panis walk arm-in-arm after a sensational performance by Panis in the Bridgestone-clad Ligier. Panis was touted as a potential championship contender until a bone shattering crash at Montreal put an end to his season, breaking both his legs. Although he would race again, he seemed to lack some of the speed he had flashed so vividly in his then-short career. He would continue racing until 2004, before acting as a test driver for two more years and was considered to be one of the finest test drivers around, highly revered by Mika Hakkinen in particular.
