I really think, given a proper opportunity and not a rubbish car (and don’t say blah blah Senna won races that was ruddy Senna and he’d beat anyone in any car) Michael could have shown the talent he showcased in the States. But it seemed like the entire thing was set up for him to fail. Only there because of Marlboro money, trying to live in America but race out of Europe, an uncompetitive car and being thrown in the number 2 slot in Senna’s team. There was no way that was ever gonna work. Poor Mike. But, hey, he did something Senna never did: finish on the podium at the Indy 500 three times.
