Michele Alboreto Footwork - Mugen Honda  1992

For the longest time I thought his name a was Michel Alberto and was French.

formula1forever:

Back with Ligier for 1995 and a single podium that year.

Panis, Adelaide, 1995.
The 1995 Adelaide Grand Prix was quite an anomaly: it is the only time in Formula One history that the winning driver (Damon Hill) was 2 laps ahead of the following driver, Ligier’s Olivier Panis. Both Benetton drivers, Williams’ other driver Coulthard, and Ferrari’s two drivers Berger and Alesi all failed to finish (Coulthard quite humorously so) and Hill was left alone to romp away with the win in a record setting fashion.
